Foundation Classes 1 & 2

The CMSLC Early Years program of study is linked to the English National Curriculum. Developed especially to meet the needs of our talented, multi-lingual, international student body, it supports the achievement and successes of all children. It is adapted to our international environment designed to foster the development of the whole child, by teaching and learning across multiple academic subjects. It emphasises learning through active inquiry and aims to develop internationally minded students who exhibit the attributes of our CROSSROAD MAE SOT LEARNING CENTRE Values.

Thematic High Interest Learning

Within each year group, children study thematically. Engaging children in areas of interest we call "Topics of Enquiry" allows us to carefully weave subject strands and objectives together to create immersive and interconnected units of learning. Curriculum areas include Literacy, Mathematics, Thai, Myanmar, Computing, Science, History, Physical Education, Geography, Music, Drama, Citizenship, Art, Design and Technology. Four units are studied during each academic year.

The Development Pathway

Ages 3-5

CMSLC Foundation 1 & 2 education offers children one year of non-compulsory education. Children learn at their own pace through a breadth of learning experiences and challenging play activities in a stimulating environment.

Ages 5-6+

Years 1 and 2 make up Key Stage 1. Children build on the learning experiences that they bring from home and/or pre-school. They learn through well-planned, challenging play that develops their interests, curiosity and creativity.

Ages 7-10+

Key Stage 2 builds on Key Stage 1 experiences.

As children progress through these stages, they move from informal to more formal learning.

As a Christian parent, I want my child to grow both spiritually and academically, and yes, I chose a CROSSROAD INTERNATIONAL LEARNING CENTRE. I have been so impressed with all the learning performances and resources from the education centre. I am very pleased to see my child is taught in a loving, caring and educational Christian atmosphere. A big applause and massive thanks to the teachers who are nurturing and supporting my child to improve his learning and confidence. Your expertise in teaching has put my mind at ease. The academics are exceptional and the teaching methods and approaches are excellent as they are using direct methods (Teaching English Through English). This is a great education centre that my child loves and has come on lots since starting this education centre.

The best part of CROSSROAD INTERNATIONAL LEARNING CENTRE are the teachers, sports and their friends. For me what's most special about this education centre is the teacher's love for God and the students.   The love and guidance our children receive from their teachers in their studies and in the development of their personalities are remarkable.   We feel peaceful and grateful our children are in the good hands of their teachers both professionally and personally.
